Wheat Free, Yeast Free
The Sourdough process has been used for over two thousand
years as a means of naturally leavening bread. The sourdough process
is nutritionally superior, as it allows for a more digestible bread,
full of flavour. At Sunnyvale we only use the finest Organic rye grains,
which we stonemill ourselves at the bakery, using fresh flour, for each
batch. These breads are totally wheat free, hence low in gluten, as
well as being yeast free. Available in Original and Onion, four new
flavours have been introduced: Sunflower Seed, Poppy Seed, Caraway Seed,
and Mixed Seed, all using certified Organic ingredients. Sunnyvale Organic
Rye Breads are best served slightly warmed, and are delicious with some
cheese or a spread of your choice.
Yeast Free, too!
Increasingly, people are becoming allergic, or sensitive
to yeast. Yeast has been associated with conditions such as Candida,
Thrush, as well as ME. Dr. Michael Midgley, an ME sufferer himself,
quotes in his book, 'A Life Worth Living', "The bread I can eat
is organic sourdough rye bread,... It contains no live yeast, an essential
condition for those with Candidiasis"
